Money Conserving Tips
Street food-- The food is usually exceptional, really inexpensive and you can see it being cooked in front of you. Stay with the local food and you'll conserve cash. The street-side Pho, bread, and bananas are your best offers.

Late-night travel-- If taking a trip long trips, attempt to take the late night bus or train as this will conserve you the expense of a night's lodging.

Take the traveler bus-- It is really more affordable to take the tourist bus around the nation than taking regional transportation because of the "traveler" price you get at the bus station.

Deal hard-- Tourists tend to be charged more than locals for everything from cyclos to street food. Bargain harder than you would ordinarily, and don't ignore the value of walking away.

Leading Things to Do and see in Vietnam
Admire the pagodas-- Vietnam's the majority of unique architecture can be been in the pagodas which are found all over the nation. They are notable for their complex and gorgeous carvings. Pagodas are used as temples and shrines and are valued by the Vietnamese individuals.

Wander Hanoi-- Vietnam's capital, Hanoi combines French manifest destiny with Eastern affects. Enjoy an afternoon checking out the slim streets of the Old Quarter or go to the many temples and galleries dotted around this dynamic city. Don't miss out on the History Museum which showcases artifacts from Vietnam's vibrant history and the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum.

Unwind in Dalat-- Dalat is situateded in the hills of the Central Highlands and is popular with travelers who desire to relax in the mountain air. The hills around Dalat are filled with standard tribal villages which you can explore but there is plenty to do within the city itself too.

Visit the Mekong Delta-- The delta is a 60,000 km long web of interconnected waterways which extends across three Vietnamese provinces. The best way to experience delta life is to go on one of the many boat or bike trips.

Crawl through the Cu Chi Tunnels-- Crawl through the comprehensive network of almost 500 km of tunnels used by the Viet Cong in the war with the U.S.A in the 1960s. Trips include a description of the tunnels, after which travelers are permitted to crawl about the labyrinth and fire AK47s at shooting targets.

See Cuc Phuong National Park-- 120 km southwest of Hanoi lies Vietnam's first National Park, Cuc Phuong. Covering 61,000, this place is home to over 2000 species of trees and some truly unusual wildlife consisting of the Clouded leopard, Delacour's Langur and Owston's Civet. It was my favorite park in all of Vietnam and the only location I could prevent hordes of tourists.

Hang out in Hoi An-- Hoi An is one of the most popular locations for tourists taking a trip to the nation. It was quickly my favorite place in Vietnam.

Explore Ho Chi Minh City-- Likewise known as Saigon, Ho Chi Minh is Vietnam's largest city and is definitely worth exploring. Like the majority of cities in Vietnam, you'll be met with the roar of motorbikes speeding through colonial streets. Ben Thanh market is a must-see for remarkable food and there is an excellent buzz of activity within the place.

Trek in Halong Bay-- More than 3000 islands sit within the emerald green waters of Halong Bay, one of the country's most popular tourist locations. Cat Ba island has great for hiking and lots of travelers discover themselves taking one of the cave trips.

Get Active in Mui Ne-- In spite of being a fishing village, Mui Ne has got a substantial tourism scene, due to its appeal as a wind and kitesurfing destination, and because of the pretty sand dunes that lie nearby.

See My Son-- My Child is a set of Hindu ruins in Vietnam which date back to the Cham Empire. The Champas ruled over Central Vietnam from the 3rd to the 19th century. The temples here are of extraordinary historical importance, but they have actually been largely recovered by the surrounding jungle, and have actually fallen under a fantastic state of disrepair. Do not come here expecting something as marvelously protected as Borobudur or Angkor Wat.

Visit the caves in Phong Nha-Ke Bang-- Hang Boy Doong is reputed to be the world's largest cave, and is located in Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park. It was discovered by a local in 1990, and "found" by a British caving group in 2009.

Dive in Nha Trang-- This area teems with seaside resorts, and has an unique metropolitan feel. However, the stunning sand and clear water make it a significant spot for scuba diving in Vietnam.

Check out the rice terraces-- Beyond connections to the Vietnam War, the stereotypical image of Vietnam is of the many rice paddies. You can discover these in the Muong Hoa valley.

Transportation-- Bus travel is very cheap in Vietnam. Do not miss out on the History Museum which showcases artifacts from Vietnam's colorful history and the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum.

Go to Cuc Phuong National Park-- 120 km southwest of Hanoi lies Vietnam's very first National Park, Cuc Phuong. It was my preferred park in all of Vietnam and the only place I could avoid hordes of travelers.
